Comprehensive picture of the nature of Liptov, its history from the earliest times to the present, artistic and historical treasures and history of paper manufacturing in Slovakia, all that can be found in Ruzomberok’s museum.
Established in 1912, this museum have had time to accumulate 180,000 collection objects. Here we can find natural history exposition with botanical, zoological and geological section, archeological exposition of oldest Liptov settlements, feudalism exposition showing lives of people of this period, the history of paper in Slovakia and exhibition of the life and work of Andrej Hlinka, a prominent nationalist and politician at the beginning of the 20th century. Gallery of sacred art is beautiful too.
